Name's Peter Blood. I'm a pathfiner, or so they call us. I have no memory of how I got here... but it seems I am standed on some volcanic reef...
I found a source of fresh water... and signs of people...
A man's got to eat. This turtle will not only provide meat, but also leather and its shell. I can make a waterskin now...
I've seen some flotsam in the water. I found some salted meat and a few gold coins. I wonder if this has been my fate too. Am I the only survivor of a shipwreck?
Well, the ocean also provides a rich source of fish. I caught a tuna with my primitive flint spear...
Well, well... the island wasn't deserted. There are people living here, but they want gold if they are going to help me. I'm on my own for now. I will attempt to build myself a shack near by the water source, I think. I really need to set up a workshop so I can craft better tools than these stone ones I have. And I should try to tame some animals too, if I can.
Well, that's a task for another day...

Re: Pathfinder, an Atlas story
With Tigger at my side, I felt very confidant about exploring the island. I really wanted to find the owner of that raft - whoever it was may be a serious threat to my own life. But so far, this scallywag had eluded me and kept eluding us. Then, suddenly, Tigger took off and I had no idea where he went - I was quite worried...
He did appear again after some time - with a mate by his side. I named her Kitty. Still no sign of the scallywag hiding from us, though. But it's just a matter of time, I'm sure...

There was still no sign of the mysterious owner of that raft. But...
I did tame a pair of lions. And...
I tried to get the felines to mate - but I had no luck.

Re: Pathfinder, an Atlas story
My scouts reported they had seen no less than four encampments on our island -- this cannot stand. We have to get rid of these enemy pirates before they get rid of us. The first camp was in the woods just outside of our camp. I deecided to take the lions...
As we approached, we were met with cannon bursts. Those pirates weren't very accurate, fortunately...
Me and the lions killed them all. I replaced their flag. Then it was back to the wharf and the construction of our brigantine...

Sunstone -- these gemstones would help me make silver ingots with the silver ore on this island...
That was half of the enemy camps on the island taken out. Another two to go...

Mary. Mary Blood be my name. And my story I will tell...
First thing, after waking up naked and without a memory, was to get some clothes - and tools and weapons. Fortunately, I possessed all the skills required, and more...
I got myself armed, equipped and ready. I tamed a male monkey I named Bananas. And found a wild cow. Taming her would mean I'd have a steady supply of milk. I was off to a good start...

Re: Pathfinder, an Atlas story
To get off this island I needed something to take me across the waters, so I built a raft. I called it Beginning...
Out a sea I could salvage the flotsam I came across. It was meagre loot, but it was better than none. I had Bananas the money with me, and a chicken to lay me some eggs...
The first new island I visited had no new discoveries so I sailed north to the next region. There were always fleets of Ships of the Damned about, had to avoid those or end up at the bottom of the ocean. But where you find the fleets, you find flotsam. It was new land that drew me here though...
I was ready to make landfall...

Re: Pathfinder, an Atlas story
Zara's Spot...
I managed to capture the pirate base. They outnumbered me, but I had the surprise and could take out their sentries with my rifle before they spotted me. Then I finished them off one by one in a merry dance of steel, even though they outnumbered me four to one.
There was a rain storm and my raft got loose. Damn it! Well, I had to build a new one. But first I had more pirates to deal with...
It seems I had forgotten just where I had left my raft, ha ha ha! I also captured another of the pirate camps. If I kept this up the island would soon be under my control...
I defeated the remaining pirates and made myself queen of zara's Spot. It was time to move on...
I made it to another island. I was about to make landfall on Coalquay Peninsula...

Re: Pathfinder, an Atlas story
Coalquay Peninsula...
Ran into the first pirate settlement on the peninsula. Unfortunately for the enemy, there were giraffes in the area who were not happy when the pirates attacked me and one of them was hit by mistake. It was a massacre as the pirates fought the beasts and I picked them off from a safe distance with my musket...
Contunued exploring and came across another settlement. This time a bear helped me...
In return I helped the bear who became my friend. I spent some time in the pirate camp and when the bear was all healed up I had a saddle already made for him...

Re: Pathfinder, an Atlas story
It was getting time again to jump to another island...
Good for me, the pirates had a ship anchored and now it was mine...

Middon Isles
I was staking my claim to the pirates' claims. I was getting rid of them and taking what was theirs as mine...
The lion I tamed proved to be a very valuable companion...
